Here is a tutorial on how to create your own Tulip using the art of origami.
Materials Needed for the Flower:
A square sheet of paper (any size, preferably pastel).
Step 1
Start with a square sheet of paper. If the paper has two colors, ensure the colored side faces up.
Step 2
Fold the paper diagonally in both directions to form an "X" crease. Unfold the paper completely.
Step 3
Collapse the paper along the creases to form a square base. Hold the paper with a corner pointing up (diamond orientation). Bring the side corners together so that the top and bottom corners meet. Flatten into a square.
Step 4
On the square base, fold the bottom edges of the front layer inward to align with the vertical center crease. Repeat for the back side.
Step 5
In this step, we shape the petals. Slightly curve the top corners outwards to form rounded petals. Press gently to hold the shape.
Materials Needed to Make the Stem:
Another square sheet of green paper (smaller than the tulip paper).
Step 1
To create the stem base, roll the green paper tightly into a thin cylinder or stem shape. You can use a pencil as a guide and remove it once rolled.
Step 2
Insert the pointed tip of the tulip into the top of the stem. Secure the connection by gently pinching or gluing.
Now you have a beautiful origami tulip! You can repeat the process with different paper colors to make a bouquet.
