Paper Tops are fun and simple toys that can easily be made from materials found at home. To make it super easy, I've included two templates you can use...one black and white, and one colored. Just follow the step-by-step tutorial below:
Step 1.
You can make this spinning paper top by printing out this diagram template twice (black and white or color model) ... then cut out both of the hexagons that you printed out.
Step 2.
Each will have a triangle missing...this is what you are supposed to do. On each paper hexagon, tape the two sides together to make 5-sided pyramid.
Step 3.
After you have two paper 5-sided pyramids, place them base to base and then tape them together with Scotch tape (clear kind if you have it).
Step 4.
Then poke a hole in both of the tops of the pyramids. Then push a wooden safety match, half of a chopstick, or a pencil. Then have fun and spin away.
